Unique experience in suites and traditional Alpine chalets
Riverside Rooms offers authentic alpine suites and cabins
The property is located within the hamlet of Trambesere in the municipality of Pontboset, in the Champorcher valley. The hamlet has unique features.
It has kept its original layout almost unchanged. Typical stone and wood buildings leaning against huge boulders that form caves, shelter and at times serve as the base of houses. Rough, yet surprising, stone stairways linking the buildings are a unique feature. The closeness of the river with its crystal-clear waters, its smoothed rocks with veins blending into the surrounding woods will amaze even the most distracted guest.
Along the river there is also a splendid mule track built in the nineteenth century and commissioned by the King to reach the places he loved for hunting in Champorcher and Cogne.
The Tor des Geants route passes through the hamlet, so you can reach both the valley floor and the top of the valley by following well-marked and well-kept paths and mule tracks.

The municipality of Pontboset, with its historic core, is a village that has recently undergone many redevelopment works and is well worth a visit. You should definitely take the easy Six Bridges walk, a circular route along the main waterways that run through the municipality, where stone bridges alternate with wooden bridges, one of them on ropes.
The Retempio sanctuary, which is a testimony to the local people's religiosity, can be reached on a walking path.
The Mont Avic park, located in the nearby municipality of Champorcher.
The Fort of Bard, the largest museum complex in the Aosta Valley, located a few kilometres away.
The Champorcher ski facilities
And so many, so very many trails to discover villages, mountain pastures and alpine lakes in areas far from the big tourist crowds, wild and unspoilt, on paths that are still well marked.
